Everyone over 50 is now eligible to get their covid vaccine. We will be getting increased supply soon. At the moment we’re doing vaccination clinics on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Please call reception on 07 54976700 to book your appointment.
If you don’t have a Medicare card you can’t receive your covid vaccine at Ningi Doctors. You will need to go to a government vaccination clinic. Please check the department of health covid vaccine website or call reception for more information.
From Monday 29/03/2021 5 pm Greater Brisbane, including Ningi and the whole Moreton Bay Region will enter a three day lockdown. Everyone is required to wear a mask if indoors, except if they are at home. So wear a mask when coming to the practice.
We ask everyone with any respiratory symptoms to get tested for covid and stay home until they receive a negative result.

Ningi Doctors will start administering covid vaccinations in the week from 22 March in special clinics. We will only have a limited supply and are therefore only able to take bookings for patients of our practice at the moment. Please talk to you regular GP/clinic about your eligibility for the vaccine.

As per Queensland Health anyone currently in Queensland who has been in Victoria since or on Monday 21 December 2020 should get tested immediately and quarantine at home or their accommodation until they receive a negative result. Please ring the practice on 5497 6700 if you need a referral for a test or discuss this information.

We’d like to welcome Dr Paul Alexander and Dr Matt Blackstone to Ningi Doctors.
Dr Alexander has started on Tuesday 13 October, and will be working on Tuesday, Wednesday and some weekends.
Dr Blackstone will start on Tuesday 27 October, and will be working on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

From Monday 20 July 2020 medicare rebate or bulk billed telehealth, phone and video consultations are only available for patients who attended Ningi Doctors in the past 12 months.
If you have not been in this practice in the past 12 months you can not access a medicare rebate for a telehealth, phone or video consult, but you can pay privately. The costs for a standard consultation is $52, to be paid prior to the consultation. Reception can take credit card payment over the phone.
Patients under 12 months and homeless patients are exempt from this.
You will be able to access medicare rebates for telehealth again when you have had an appointment at the practice.
Everyone with symptoms of runny nose, sore throat, cough and/or fever should be tested for corona virus as per Queensland Health guidelines. Click on this link for information regarding testing and locations.If we continue to test everyone with symptoms, we can recognise new cases early and stop the spread of this highly contagious virus.
